"DALHAM WAR MEMORIAL"

To the eternal memory of the men of DALHAM who died in the service of their country
1 in the Boer War, 10 in the Great War of 1914-1919 and 5 in 1939-1945

Dalham war memorial consists of a wall mounted carved stone plaque inside St Mary's Church.

The inscription is "To the Glory of God and in Honour of the men of this parish who fell in the Great War "

The left hand arch details the rank, forename and surname of each man, and in the right hand arch is his regiment.
On the panel at the base is inscribed "Their name liveth for evermore"

Under these was later placed a small plain stone tablet with the 1939-1945 and the rank, forename, surname and regiment of the five men who fell in the Second World War

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.
